Sans Liege Cotes du Coast 2008

Clear, golden yellow color. Peach and citrus scents. All good indicators of a decent, everyday white blend.

The taste, however, is anything but ordinary: This blend of Viognier, Roussane and Marsanne combine in a vibrant explosion of peach, ripe pear, honey and citrus with soft hints of mineral and toast. This saucy number is really nice -- delicious but not complicated. Balanced and exciting yet totally approachable, it's a great quaff all by itself. But you might consider it with Asian dishes or pan-seared scallops.
